  • Leading Tone always goes to the Tonic
  • Chordal Dissonance is common in this topic- Chordal dissonance is the dissonance heard within the Chords
  • In first inversion, the third is always in the bass
  • Only the bass and tenor voices can have more than an octave jump
  • The leading will resolve up and the Chordal 7th Resolves down

SATB

  • Dont Double Tendency Notes
  • In Spacing : No more than an octave between upper voices, Pay special attention to alto and tenor
  • Its important to have the third in the chord becasue third detremines wether chord is major or minor
  • There are 2 positions
  1. Open Position- A chord elemnt could be placed between any of upper three voices
  2. Closed Position- No Chord element can be placed between any of 3 uppervoices
  • Avoid Voice crossing
  • its ok to double root and fifth
