Lesson 7:Triads (PART 1)

- A triad can be defined as a chord that consists of a root, third and fifth (or the first third and fifth degree of a scale)
- There are 4 types of Triads they are :
- Major Triad
- Minor Triad
- Augmented Triad
- Diminished Triad
- An inversion of a triad means that the notes in the triad are rearranged
- if the third is in the bass the triad is first inversion
- if the fifth is in the bass the triad is second inversion
- In a minor scale the 2nd degree is diminished but in a major scale the 7th is dimished
